PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly stably drive a support base even when the parallelism between a driving shaft and a guiding shaft deteriorates. SOLUTION: The recording and/or playback device is provided with recording and reproducing means 14 and 15 for recording and/or reproducing a signal on/from a disk-shaped recording medium, a support means 20 having a support base 19 with the recording and reproducing means 14 and 15 mounted and supporting the support base 19 movably in the radial direction of the disk-shaped recording medium, a movable part 27 provided on the support base 19, and an impact driving means 9 having the driving shaft 24 supporting the movable part 27 slidably in the radial direction of the disk-shaped recording medium and an electromechanical conversion element 25 that extends and contracts in the axial direction of the driving shaft 24 in accordance with a driving pulse and slides the movable part 27 by displacingly driving the driving shaft 24 in an axial direction while extending or contracting the electromechanical conversion element 25. The movable part 27 has a pair of connection pieces 30 and 31 holding the driving shaft 24 between themselves and is curvedly formed such that a pricipal plane allowed to abut on the driving shaft 24 on the connection pieces 30 and 31 swells in an almost circular arc shape.
