A decanter contains a number of decanting plates (Di) placed inside the reservoir. The plates are parallel and regularly spaced to define a number of passages extending between the lower and upper parts. There are no means of calibrating the flow of liquid between the passages and the upper part (13) of the reservoir (3). The decanter contains a reservoir (3) of liquid to be decanted (5), means (7) of bringing the liquid into the bottom part of the reservoir and means (11) of evacuating the liquid from the top part (13) of the reservoir. Tubes (Ti) are fixed to the plates and pendulum fixings (DELTAi) are placed between the tubes and the reservoir. The inclination of the plates can be varied in concert, using an operating bar connected by a sliding pivot to the decanting plates. The plates can be arranged vertically or at an angle opposite to that of their operating position to allow cleaning. |
