<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a head light for a vehicle of a variable distribution type using a conventional movable reflector wherein there is produced vignetting due to a hood in varying the light distribution and unable to effectively use the light from a light source. <P>SOLUTION: This head light for the vehicle is provided with a light source provided with the hood, a fixed reflector, and a turnable movable reflector so as to be set to a variable light distribution type. This head light for the vehicle is so formed that the hood provided in the light source is divided into a hood variable part turning with the turning of the movable reflector and corresponding the shield to the light from the light source to the movement of the variable reflector and a food fixed part corresponding the shielded to the light from the light source to the fixed reflector, so that, when there is a movement in the movable reflector, the hood movable part follows thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
