<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication method by which a host device connected by one line and a plurality of terminals connected via a network can physically be relayed and processing in a plurality of terminals can be efficiently preformed by managing the statuses of the terminals or faults therein. <P>SOLUTION: In the communication device 10 connected to the host device 12 by one line and connected with a plurality of terminals 29, 30, 32 and 34 via the network for relaying the host device 12 and the terminals 28, 30, 32 and 34, the device has relay means for relaying information received from the host device 12 for executing prescribed processing to a plurality of terminals 28, 30, 32 and 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
