PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator which can improve a space factor and can reduce the number of parts and facilitate a manufacturing process, and a method of manufacturing the stator. SOLUTION: This stator is equipped with a plurality of teeth iron cores 11 which are arranged at specified intervals on a specified circumference, core back iron cores 12 which are provided each on the outside peripheral side between the adjacent teeth iron cores 11 and 11, and a stator winding 13 which is wound around the teeth iron cores 11. A roughly U-shaped insulating sheet 14 is provided with its head orientated to the outside of the circumference between the adjacent teeth iron cores 11 and 11, and also the insulating sheet 14 is interposed between the teeth iron core 11 and the stator winding 13, and the tip of the insulating sheet 14 is bent inward for blocking by the end face on the inside peripheral side of the core back iron core 12 inserted from outside the circumference.
