PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a waveform from the forefront, while synchronizing with a trigger from the outside. SOLUTION: This waveform generator for generating an assigned waveform by reading out in order respective data stored in respective assigned addresses while synchronizing with clocks has an address information outputting means 12 for outputting a start address AS and a finishing address AE in a waveform memory 11, an address counter 17 synchronized to the clocks to impress the addresses to the waveform memory in order starting from the start address, an address counter stopping means 18 for detecting that the addresses output from the address counter reach to the ending address, to stop the address counter, and a timing regulation means 16 for transmitting an output indication to the address information outputting means in response to the trigger, and for driving the address counter.
