PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color printer capable of keeping continuity in output colors independently of a secular change or product difference so as to form an image with high quality. SOLUTION: The color printer includes: a matching engine 102 for converting colors of color image data into output colors; and a feature discrimination apparatus 301 that discriminates whether or not colors in the image data represents a feature of a designated color and selects conversion processing of the output colors in the matching engine 102 on the basis of the image data discriminated to have the feature and other image data than the feature data.
