<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet facsimile machine by which the informing destination of an e-mail in occurrence of an event can be changed optionally. <P>SOLUTION: A RAM 13 has a level table T1 indicating a level corresponding to the event and an informing destination table T2 indicating the informing destination corresponding to the level stored therein. Then, authentication is performed on the basis of authentication data from a person having the right of changing the level table T1 or the informing destination table T2 such as a manager or a specific user. When authentication is obtained as the results, according to operation from the person having the right of changing, an I-FAX 1 changes the level table T1 and the informing destination table T2. Consequently, the informing destination of the e-mail in occurrence of the can optionally be changed.
