<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain disturbance of a decoded signal which is caused by shift of a packet interval, when a packet form of data which is produced as a packet stream is converted and the data are transmitted via a network. <P>SOLUTION: A transport stream composed of TS packets is outputted from an MPEG2 encoder LSI22. The TS packet is accommodated in Ethernet (registered trade mark) packet whose size is larger than the TS packet, and sent out to a network. An interval of the TS packet and an interval of time reference information (PCR) which are included in a packet stream of the Ethernet packet are made nearly equal to an interval of the TS packet and an interval of PCR which are included in the transport stream, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
