PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater capable of displaying a reception signal level without using a check signal between itself and peripheral equipment, and securing a good receiving state without moving the peripheral equipment or a computer. SOLUTION: The repeater 10 for repeating between the computer 16 and its peripheral equipment has reception level measurement means 56, 58 for measuring the level of a reception signal received from the equipment, and a display means 46 for displaying a receiving state on the basis of the result of measurement by the means 56, 58.
