PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the size of a multi-dimensionally plotted graphic image without complete replotting, and to reduce discontinuity of the image such as visual stutter.

SOLUTION: This method for changing the size of the multi-dimensionally plotted graphic image is released. In the method, in the first process, one graphic image is partitioned into a plurality of size changeable parts and size unchangeable parts determined beforehand. In the second process, the size changeable parts are partitioned again into a plurality of elongate regions. In the third process, each elongate region is partitioned into cell matrixes. In the fourth process, the column or the row of the cell matrix is duplicated or removed relative to one or more elongate regions, to thereby change the size of the graphic image.
