<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which can distribute the humidified water in the humidified gas and the water generated by the electrochemistry reaction uniformly in an electrode layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell which has a solid high polymer film of proton conductivity (1), the electrodes (5) which sandwich this solid high polymer film, and the separators (7) in which concave gas flow-ways (6) are formed to the faces which touch this electrode, and generates electricity by circulating fuel gas or oxidizer gas to the above gas flow ways, the above electrode consists of an electrode catalyst layer (3) formed in the above solid high polymer film side and a gas diffusion layer (4) formed in the separator side, and the domains, where the above gas flow ways of these electrode catalyst layer and gas diffusion layer have water repellent nature, and the other domains have hydrophilic nature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
