摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic phase correction method for automatically correcting an initial phase value by detecting initial phase changes over aging at a beginning of a transmission, for which a non-linear distortion compensating technology (linearizer) of an amplifier is needed as a fundamental technology, and a linear amplifier is needed as a transmission power amplifier with respect to a linear modulation method widely used in digital mobile communications. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic phase correction method uses phase information obtained in an automatic phase correction process after an initial phase value is given. Characteristic changes like changes over aging, etc., are corrected by automatic phase correction in a transmission period by the reason that the characteristic changes do not change rapidly. The changes over aging of the initial phase value are detected by detecting errors after comparing a phase value given to a phase shifter at the moment with the initial phase value given from a table of temperatures and frequencies. Moreover, a correction table of changes over aging is prepared to store its differential values at the moment in association with temperatures and frequencies. The automatic phase correction of the initial value is realized by applying these values at the beginning of the transmission so that the most appropriate phase value is given at the beginning of the transmission. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
