PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for manufacturing a cathode ray tube capable of increasing a production efficiency by decreasing a time for interrupting the production of the cathode ray tube to regulate the delivered amount of lacquer. SOLUTION: This device comprises a tank 10 for reserving lacquer liquid, a hose 11 for feeding the lacquer liquid, a discharge amount control valve 12 for controlling the discharge amount of the lacquer liquid, a discharge valve 13 for switching between the discharge and discharge stop of the lacquer liquid, a filter 14 for removing solid matters in the lacquer liquid, a jetting nozzle 15 for jetting the lacquer liquid, a rotatingly driving device 3 rotating the face panel 1 of the cathode ray tube having a patterned fluorescent substance about the center of the display surface of the face panel 1 while holding at a specified angle, and a flowmeter 21 for metering the flow of the lacquer liquid installed in a lacquer liquid feed route for feeding the lacquer liquid from the tank 10 to the jetting nozzle 15.
