<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an upside terminal fitting can being fixed to a tube because a high-voltage diode not being contained to the tube at a position, when electrical connection failure is caused due to soldering failure in solder dipping and the underside lead is bent, in a state where the lead is not inserted into a small-diameter portion of the terminal fitting. <P>SOLUTION: In an internal-combustion engine ignition coil, the insulating-resin tube 6 equipped with the terminal fitting 7 is contained in a case 4, in which a high-voltage transformer having a primary coil 1 and a secondary coil 2 around an iron core is contained, and a high voltage 5 is connected and fixed through leads 5a, 5a led from both ends of the high-voltage diode 5 to the terminal fitting 7. The inside wall surface of the terminal 7, into which the leads 5a, 5a of the high-voltage diode 5 are inserted, is a conical tapered surface 7d, formed extending from its large-diameter portion 7a to small-diameter portion 7b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
