<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the start of a fuel cell system from under a freezing point. <P>SOLUTION: With respect to a fuel cell system equipped with a 1st fuel cell stack (2) formed by laminating the single cells (1) equipped with a solid high polymer electrolyte film (8), and a fuel electrode and an oxidizer electrode arranged so that this solid high polymer electrolyte film may be sandwiched, the above 1st fuel cell stack (2) heats by impressing voltage between the electrodes by making the fuel electrodes of each the above cells (1) as positive electrodes and the oxidizer electrode as negative electrodes, at the time of fuel cell system starting at the temperature which is under the freezing point inside the fuel cell stack. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
