PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimp terminal which can prevent opening of a terminal blade surely and which can improve contact reliability. SOLUTION: After crimping an electric wire to the crimp blade 11 of the crimp terminal main body 12, the opening of the crimp blade 11 can be prevented surely by fitting a solid opening prevention member 13 of a U-shaped cross-section into the crimp terminal main body 12. At this time, because the crimp terminal main body 12 at which caulking plates 14, 14 for caulking the electric wire are installed does not consist of a solid material like the opening prevention member 13, the electric wire can be caulked easily. Further, by engaging a locking claw 19 to an engaging hole 24, the opening prevention member 13 can be mounted on the position of the crimp blade 11, and the opening of the crimp blade 11 can be prevented surely. Furthermore, because an engaging protrusion 20 of the upper end part of the crimp blade 11 is engaged with a notch 25 installed at the upper end of the opening prevention member 13, falling-off of the opening prevention member 13 is prevented, and the opening of the crimp blade 11 can be prevented surely.
