PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure detaining of an elastic locking section of a disk tray with a cartridge locking segment by preventing the creepage by lapse of time and an environmental influence. SOLUTION: The disk information recording/reproducing device uses a cartridge 3 containing a disk 2 in the state of mounting the disk on the disk tray 1 and has a conveyance mechanism for drawing the entire part of the disk tray out of the cartridge into a device body and conveying the disk up to a segment where the pickup 12 is installed. The disk tray 1 is partly provided with the elastic locking section for locking the cartridge 3 and the cartridge 3 is provided with a recessed part for releasing the elastic stress of the elastic locking section when the disk tray exists in the prescribed position.
