PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a squelch circuit for outputting a squelch waveform defined in the specifications of USB (2.0), and to provide a squelch circuit having the advantage of the wide operational range of an input signal because of less dependency of a common mode voltage of the input signal. SOLUTION: The circuit includes a first sensing section for outputting a signal sensing a difference between a first and a second input signals when the difference is not less than a specific positive (+) value, a second sensing section for outputting a signal sensing a difference between the first and the second inputs signals when the difference is not less than a specific negative (-) value, a bias section for adjusting an offset current amount of each of the first and the second sensing sections to a prescribed value to determine the specific values, and an output means for outputting a squelch signal in response to the outputs signals of the first and the second sensing sections.
