PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator wherein its linearity is so improved that the range of its oscillating frequency being varied proportionally to its input current is augmented. SOLUTION: The oscillator has MOS transistors Q1-Q3 which are cascaded each other in this order and have MOS transistors Q5-Q7 as their respective constant-current feeding current sources. Further, the oscillator has a current converting circuit 11 comprising a resistor R1 and a MOS transistor Q10. The current converting circuit 11 is so configured that its output current I2 is varied proportionally to the square of its input current I1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
