<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element that can continuously emit light without noticeable blinking even when an LED chip is pulse-driven for raising an electrical energy saving effect. <P>SOLUTION: On a die-bonding cup 12 connected with a cathode lead 11, an LED chip 13 which emits violet to ultraviolet rays having a peak wavelength of ≤420 nm as main light is arranged. Then a coating material 14 containing a fluorescent material having a long afterglow property is filled in the cup 12 so as to cover the periphery of the chip 13 and, a resin lens 14 is formed in a shell-like shape to cover the cup 12 and chip 13 together with an anode lead wire 16 connected to the chip 13 through a bonding wire 15 and the cathode lead 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
