<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents server capable of properly collecting charge according to the use state. <P>SOLUTION: When contents are transmitted from a communication part 51 to a terminal, a processing control part 53 stores start information showing a storage start time in a use time information storage part 52c. Also, when the contents are deleted by the terminal and the processing control part 53 receives the deletion information, the processing control part 53 stores termination information showing a storage termination time in the use time information storage part 52c. Based on these start information and termination information, period information showing a contents storage period is obtained, and stored in the use time information storage part 52c. According to the period information, the processing control part 53 obtains the fee of the deleted contents, and stores the fee in a charge collection information storage part 52d. The information in the charge collection information storage part 52d is totaled by a charge collection system, and a charge collection processing to users is performed.
