PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the shutdown of an electric machine while preventing the generation of an abnormality in the electric machine and the shortening of the life thereof.

SOLUTION: An electric vehicle drive control device comprises: an electric machine drive part comprising the electric machine; a stall determination processing means 91 that determines whether a stall determination condition is satisfied or not that indicates whether an electric vehicle is placed in a stall state or not; a target torque control processing means 92 that controls electric machine target torque when the stall determination condition is satisfied; and an electric machine drive processing means 93 that drives the electric machine based on the controlled electric machine target torque. When the electric vehicle is placed in the stall condition, the electric machine torque is controlled and the electric machine is not continued to be driven by a high load, thus causing no large current to successively flow to a transistor module having the prescribed phase of an inverter and preventing the transistor module from being overheated.
