<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress jitters in data to be reproduced even when input signals are distorted. <P>SOLUTION: A High level detection circuit 11, a DC level detection circuit 12 and a Low level detection circuit 13 detect a High level, a DC level and a Low level from a preamplifier 2. A subtraction circuit 14 obtains a first subtracted result of a difference between the High level and the DC level, a subtraction circuit 15 obtains a second subtracted result of the difference between the DC level and the Low level and a subtraction circuit 16 obtains a third subtracted result of the difference between the first subtracted result and the second subtracted result.
