METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ECONOMICAL LOAD ALLOTMENT OF ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM AND CONSIGNED POWER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical load allotment method for determining load allotment so that the total sum of power cost is minimized for a given load.

SOLUTION: The economical load allotment method for electric power system and consigned power comprises a process in which power costs of a plurality of generator sets wherein the power costs have sectional linear shapes and monotonous increasing concave functions relative to generation outputs are approximated from the power cost data of the generator sets by a linear function; a process in which initial load allotment that the power costs are minimized is computed from the linear function approximated by the concave function and a sectional and monotonous increasing convex function which is the power cost of the other generator set; and a process in which the load allotment that the power cost is reduced as compared with the present power cost is sequentially computed from the initial load allotment value computed so that the power cost is minimized and the power cost data of the plurality of the generator sets until the power cost is not reduced anymore. Thus, the load allotment that the total sum of the power cost is minimized for the given load is possible.
