PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor easily operable with one hand.

SOLUTION: This portable information processor has a pointing device arranged in a left part of a cover, and a fixing or release indicating switch similarly arranged in the left part of the case reverse. A protective cover can be opened and closed up to the case reverse from an upper surface of the cover. This protective cover is formed in a dimension of the size for covering the indicating switch when opening to the case reverse.
