PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a crack, a fracture, and the like in a ceramic cylinder during brazing between the ceramic cylinder and a metallic sealing member and to prevent corrosion due to cooling water in the metallic sealing member. SOLUTION: This vacuum chamber for a particle accelerator is provided with the cylindrical ceramic cylinder 1, in which a plurality of long holes 1a are passed through the side wall between the end faces, folded back in the both end faces to be continued via a groove, and arranged side by side in the circumference direction; and the frame type metallic sealing members 2 brazed to the both end faces of the ceramic cylinder 1. The metallic sealing member is provided with a main face shaped substantially equally to the end face of the ceramic cylinder 1, formed of oxygen-free copper and stainless steel, and provided with a thickness of 0.1-1.0 mm. In the metallic sealing member 2, a part facing the circumference of the groove on the main face to be brazed is used as a brazing part, and an area ratio of an air gap 3 between the brazing parts in a straight line part around the substantially oblong through hole and a curved part, that is, a ratio of an air gap area positioned in the straight line part to that positioned in the curved part ranges 1:3 to 1:10.
