PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone capable of making a hands-free speech while keeping the best speech quality under a condition where the housing is open or closed. SOLUTION: The mobile phone includes an opening/closing detection switch 30 for detecting an opening/closing of the housing, when the opening/closing detecting switch 30 detects an opening state of the housing at hands-free speech, a reception speech digital equalizer section 42 is activated to correct reception voice quality and to enhance the high frequency component of the reception voice quality, and when the opening/closing detection switch 30 detects the closing state of the housing, a transmission digital volume section 46 is activated to correct the transmission sensitivity and to enhance the transmission quality.
