PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the process time for storing in an external memory image data stored in a memory built in a digital camera and also the display time of the image data stored in the external memory. SOLUTION: For displaying images stored in an external memory, reduced displaying images are stored in a memory built in a digital camera (S13). For displaying on the second and after, the display operation uses the reduced images stored in the memory built in the digital camera (S10). This reduces the process time for storing in the external memory image data stored in the memory built in the digital camera, and also the display time of the image data stored in the external memory.
