PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which can hold stable servo for a recording medium and prevent a decrease in a recording area of a recording medium. SOLUTION: A function of suppressing the influence of a noise signal due to a flaw of the recording medium 1 on an SD signal enables a DEFECT signal SDD from the recording medium to be detected without generating any false DEFECT signal.
