PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically carry out proper processing when original image data disappears. SOLUTION: After storing the original image data in an image data memory area 8a in a compact flash 8, the full-mode Internet facsimile machine 20 for transmitting image data via the Internet 40 by using an e-mail. After the transmission of the first e-mail including simple image data (step S13 in the figure 3) or after the transmission of the first e-mail containing the simple image data, a main control part 1 receives the e-mail containing an image data request which requests image data corresponding to prescribed ability information. In the case of trying to transmit a second electronic mail containing image data corresponding to ability information, the main control part 1 detects disappearing of the original image data from the image data memory area 8a and when detecting it, the main control part 1 carries out transmission error processing in the figure 4.
