<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably slide a movable unit in the axial direction of a drive shaft by suppressing the occurrence of deformation at the shaft. <P>SOLUTION: An impact drive unit comprises a movable unit 27, a drive shaft 24 slidably supported to the unit 27, and a pair of electromechanical transducers 25a, 25b mounted at both ends of the shaft 24 to make the shaft 24 expand or contract axially, in response to a drive pulse. The unit 27 is axially slid at the shaft 24 by axially displacing the shaft 24, while the pair of the transducers 25a, 25b are expanded or contracted in response to the pulse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
