<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card issuing system that can perform a surface protection processing under a proper condition, irrespective of dispersion in material characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The IC card is issued, using an IC card allowing recording for printing and copying on its surface, a printer for handling a recording material to record information on the surface according to indication information from a high order equipment, and the recording material allowing the recording for the printing and the copying on the surface of the IC card by the printer. Recording characteristic information or code information for expressing the recording characteristic information is recorded in one portion in a memory of the IC card, a reader for the IC card is incorporated in the printer, and the printing and copying record is automatically executed on the surface of the IC card in the proper condition, in response to a recording characteristic of the IC card recorded preliminarily, in the printing and copying to the IC card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
