PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction amplifier in which a problem caused by an aperture effect occuring in a gain medium is solved. SOLUTION: For a laser source comprising a reproduction amplifier, a mono- optical path amplifier, and a multi-optical path amplifier, a smooth laser diode pumping spot can be obtained from one or more laser diode arrays 1 by imaging the unit emitters 9a of the array so as not to focus them nearly on the same spot of a laser medium. As the unit emitters 9a are not focused, a laser beam 9c having a comparatively low aspect ratio can be obtained at a spot 8 comparatively low in intensity, so that problems such as thermal damage and others caused by the high output of the reproduction amplifier can be solved.
