PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open/close communication terminal device which can be made fashionable, small-sized, and light-weight and which is designed for convenience of a user by taking arrangement of parts into consideration. SOLUTION: When the user depresses a side key 12 for a prescribed time or longer with an open/close communication terminal device 1 closed, a control part 20 recognizes the closed state and issues a continuous photographing instruction to a camera part 25. The camera part 25 outputs photographed subject picture data through a camera I/F 26 at intervals of a prescribed time on the basis of the continuous photographing instruction, and then the control part 20 temporarily stores the subject picture data in a buffer memory of a RAM 20b and displays a mirror picture on a subsidiary display part 18 while updating it at intervals of the prescribed time. When the user opens the open/close communication terminal device 1 later, the control part 20 displays a non-mirror picture obtained by continuous photographing on a main display part 2.
