PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication method and a data communication system which enable communication data to be exactly checked by a comparatively simple technology. SOLUTION: When transmitting data to a receiver 20, a transmitter 10 inverts the bits of each of unit data and transmits a unit data couple composed of the bit-inverted unit data and the original unit data to a receiving side. Concerning each of the unit data couples, the receiver 20 checks that all the bits are in inverted relation between the bit-inverted unit data and the original unit data. When any error is detected, the data receiver 20 requests the retransmission of all the data or the retransmission of only an error data part to the data transmitter 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
