PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable mobile communication terminal and a mail display regulating method for allowing a transmitter side to regulate mail display at a receiving terminal side by sharing the same password between the transmitter/receiver. SOLUTION: When a mail display mode is selected in this portable mobile communication terminal, an MCPU 4 calls each mail folder stored in a password presence transmission/reception mail preserving part 9 at a display part 13 by using a mail contents assignment control part 6, and executes list display at the display part 13, and requests the input of a password. The MCPU 4 collates the inputted password with a password linked to a mail address in the selected mail folder stored in the mail address password preserving part 8, and only when those passwords are matched, the MCPU 4 calls the mail contents of one selected mail, and displays the mail contents at the display part 13.
