The shaping cutter for panel edges has a saw (20) and a profile milling head (21) mounted on a drive shaft (17). The profile mill is mounted outwardly of the saw and has a smaller diameter. A sensor (22) is provided on each side of the saw and mill which is adjustable from the working plane of the saw onto the working plane of the profile mill and vice versa.
