The device (3) has a spring-loaded rotary slider (9) supported by a base part (2) fitted to the rear side of a plug socket insert (1), for rotation about a central pin (3), covering the plug pin insertion openings (8) of the plug socket insert and released by simultaneous egagement of a pair of plug pins with angled recesses (13) of the slider. A linear spring wire (21) is secured to the base part at one end and engages a guide groove of the slider at its opposite end, or vice versa, for resetting the slider into the closed position and simultaneously limiting the slider rotation.
