Assembly to treat waste water comprises an exhaust steam cleaner with a heat exchanger (10) as a bundle of tubes. Cleaning units (16) move along the inner walls of the tubes (11) forming the bundle. The cleaning units are spiral coils given a linear and/or rotating movement against the tube inner walls, or they are plungers moved up and down.
