The forward movement rocking horse has horse body mounted on rockers and a pivoting strut (2) mounted in a bearing (4) at the rear of the horse. As the strut engages the ground it forces the rocking horse forward. The rocking horse rockers are curved and have wheels or rollers at their ends (1). the lower end of the strut can have a pad of brake material (3).
