A process for purging substances from water using high frequencies, comprises introducing a purge gas to water via a capillary, 10 mm above a membrane. A frequency of 850 kHz reduces the gas to fine bubbles which are evenly distributed in the water. The gas flow is reduced to 2-5 ml/minute. The high frequency weakens the hydroxyl bonds in the water.
