<p>A device for modifying a liquid material which uses particles and/or a plate comprising a photocatalytic titanium oxide particles or the like, which device may also lead to the reduction of the cost required for waste water treatment through the use of water having good quality and the discharge of good water including good waste water; and a device for modifying a gaseous material which uses particles comprising a phootocatalytic titanium oxide or the like, which device allows the contact with a forest atmosphere in a living room, which may also lead to the enjoyment of a healthy long life. The above devices can be used for diminishing harmful substances in the living atmosphere. Further, a device for modifying a liquid material wherein a material in contact with phootocatalytic titanium oxide particles or the like is irradiated with a sun light, an ultraviolet ray or an electron beam, characterized in that it is modified in dependence on the object or the use thereof; a device for a gaseous material having specifications suitable for use in generating a negative ion or in deodorization; and a coating material comprising a photocatalytic titanium oxide and water.</p> |
