PURPOSE: A method for allocating power in a MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system is provided to properly assign power in a MIMO system having a high resource utilization coefficient. CONSTITUTION: A header or an indicator to judge a D-BLAST(Diagonal-Bell Labs' Layered Space Time) element is added to a data stream in a preprocessing encoder(604). The data stream is divided into M numbers of sub data streams by a DEMUX(603), and they are provided to signal processors(602a,602b) in an identical rate. Each of the signal processors(602a,602b) encodes the provided sub data streams so that the divided sub data streams can have different transmission delay time respectively. Binary cyclic shifters(601a,601b) periodically connect the encoded signals to their respective antennas so that the signals can be transmitted to a receiver through their respective antenna.
