PURPOSE: A mobile communication system including an IP(Internet Protocol)-based MSC(Mobile Switching Center) is provided to stably and efficiently operate a system with respect to an increased traffic by providing a voice/data off-load method. CONSTITUTION: An IP-based MSC(50) transmits a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) to an IP network(70), and performs the data format transcoding of a traffic. When generating calls from BTSs(Base Transceiver Systems)(10,20), the IP-based MSC(50) judges whether an MSC(40) or the IP-based MSC(50) processes a signal for controlling the calls and the traffic. The IP-based MSC(50) has an MSC server for providing mobility with respect to an origination subscriber, a CA(Call Agent) for processing a transit call in the IP network(70), and an MGW(Media GateWay) for performing media conversion, bearer control, and signal function. |
