The fitting (1), for the manual operation of a lock at a swing door or gate, has a door handle (2) with a grip (8) on a rotating spindle to be inserted and removed at the lock opening in the rosette (3) with a positive fit. The grip is coupled to the spindle, and is closed when a button (21) is pressed manually. On its release, the coupling returns automatically into the open setting. The press button, or a link between it and the closing spindle, is keyed to the rotating handle around the longitudinal axis of the spindle.
