A steering head for the front forks of a motorcycle, or bicycle, has a two part construction linked by a horizontal hinge pin. One part (1) has clamping apertures (3) to grip the front forks. The second part (2) has a clamping aperture to grip the steering shaft of the handlebars. The pivot pin is located through coaxial bores in both parts and is supported by two bevel bearings (5). The bending of the hinge effectively varies the spacing of the forks from the steering axis and provides a stable steering control with movement of the front suspension.
