A drainage system for a radiator has separate valves (2) fitted into the parallel supply and return ducts (7, 8). The normal setting of the valves provides a through flow, for heating. Turning both valves through 90 deg closes the supply and return ducts and opens drainage ducts (5) to empty the both the radiator and the isolated sections of the supply and return ducts. The drainage valves are made of chromed brass and rotate in brass sockets. The valves are turned using a screwdriver.
