The hydraulic steering device consists of a casing with turning slide valve and a dosing pump. The slide valve has borings and channels including a short-circuit path (23), a return path (21) and a supply path (20), which is closed in the neutral position. There is a no-return valve (29) between the branch (22) to the short-circuit path and the cylinder supply throttle.
