Bristle bundles (2) with plate or looped (3) anchors at the holding ends are inserted into holes (5) in a brush head (10). The plastic brush head is heated in at least the bristle anchoring area (11) and melts to form a positive connection with the embedded (12) anchor points and hence firmly retain the bristles. An Independent claim is made for the process equipment which includes a heater for heating bristle anchoring areas.
